Downtown Plan Draft
After a nine‑month planning process shaped by more than 500 voices from across the community, the draft Platte City Downtown Plan is now available for public review. This collaborative effort brought together residents, business owners, local leaders, and stakeholders to craft one shared vision for the future of downtown Platte City.

About the Project
Platte City is embarking on an ambitious endeavor: creating both the Downtown Plan and Parks & Recreation Master Plan simultaneously. By coordinating these planning processes, the Plans will complement and reinforce one another, leading to a stronger Platte City for all residents and visitors.
- Downtown Plan. Platte City is developing a plan for the future of downtown. The plan will be a guide to enhancing the streetscapes and facades, improving connectivity to and within downtown, identifying new housing opportunities, increasing economic development, promoting redevelopment, and more!
- Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Platte City is undertaking a Parks & Recreation Master Plan for the first time ever! The plan will evaluate all the existing parks, trails, green spaces, and recreational facilities. It will also include recommendations for enhancing the City's existing amenities and proposing new park and recreation features.
