Platte City is embarking on an ambitious endeavor: creating both the Downtown Plan and Parks & Recreation Master Plan simultaneously. By coordinating these planning processes, the Plans will complement and reinforce one another, leading to a stronger Platte City for all residents and visitors.

Platte City is developing a plan for the future of downtown. The plan will be a guide to enhancing the streetscapes and facades, improving connectivity to and within downtown, identifying new housing opportunities, increasing economic development, promoting redevelopment, and more!

Platte City is undertaking a Parks & Recreation Master Planning Process for the first time ever! The plan will evaluate all the existing parks, trails, green spaces, and recreational facilities. Also, it will include recommendations for enhancing the City’s existing amenities and proposing new park and recreation features.
