The City of Maryville is updating its Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is an important tool that provides guidance to community leaders and decision-makers for sound and efficient community growth and public investment.

A Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for the City and helps guide policies, priorities, and the City’s capital improvement budget. Common elements addressed in a Comprehensive Plan include:

  • Housing
  • Infrastructure & Public Facilities
  • Transportation & Mobility
  • Parks & Open Spaces
  • Land Use & Development
  • Economic Development
  • Social & Civic Health

Your input is needed! Resident and stakeholder involvement is the cornerstone of Maryville Momentum 2045. A successful plan is developed not just with the elected and appointed officials of the city who adopt it, but with the entire community who will help draft it and want to see it followed and maintained.

Scroll through this webpage for ways to be involved in the process to ensure a bright future for all in Maryville!

Project Updates - Summer 2025

Community Engagement Highlights

Over the past few months, the Maryville Momentum 2045 team has been actively gathering input from residents, stakeholders, and community leaders to shape the future of our city. Here's a brief overview of recent engagement activities:

Listening Sessions
In July, we hosted a series of small listening sessions with key community groups, including employers, realtors, seniors, and young professionals. These sessions helped us better understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing Maryville.

Community Roundtable
We invited Maryville residents to a community roundtable at the Maryville Community Center. The discussion focused on shared priorities such as housing needs, downtown improvements, and parks and recreation opportunities. The insights will inform the plan’s guiding principles.

Steering Committee Updates
Check out our recent steering committee meeting presentation in the website document library, which includes project updates and recent engagement outcomes.

Project Kickoff - Spring 2025

The planning process is officially underway! We held our first Steering Committee meeting on May 6th. Thanks for everyone who joined us to help launch this effort. You can download the presentation from the website document library. We'll continue sharing updates here as the plan moves forward. Stay tuned!
