About the Project

Rooted in equity, health and sustainability, the project addresses long-standing disparities in urban development by providing new opportunities for walking, biking and community gathering. In alignment with CDC research on the health benefits of trail infrastructure, the design promotes cardiovascular health, reduces air pollution and strengthens connections to schools, parks and local landmarks. More than a recreational amenity, the Beltline Trail represents a long-overdue commitment to equitable infrastructure that supports environmental well-being, social vitality and sustainable growth.
